Samburu National Reserve is a starkly beautiful, high-altitude desert located north of the equator. The landscape is dominated by doum palms and the red-brown waters of the Ewaso Ng'iro River—the sector's tactical lifeline.
The mission signature is the "Special Five": Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and the beisa oryx. This is a land of red dust and dramatic shadows, offering a quieter, more exclusive deployment compared to the southern circuits.
